This midnight blue shirt is the color of the night sky on a clear winter night. Chahałhééł refers to the darkest point of the night. Most of the Navajo Nation is far from light pollution from major cities and it is easy to witness the beauty of the night sky anywhere on the reservation. While it is dark, the sky is still illuminated by bright stars shimmering above. I designed this shirt as a reminder of the sky back home.
